“Can’t Cancel Hope” Available For Purchase/Stream

Hey people of the planet! I recorded what started as a single and evolved into a little EP. The songs are related to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Please click the album art to purchase/stream the album. During the month of June 100% of royalties go to Color Of Change.

Below the album art is the “Behind the Scenes” video we recorded. I’d love to hear what you think of the songs and my wish is that they bring you some hope during these troubling times.

Seeya Fridays at 6 p.m. PST on Instagram Live and Facebook Live! Thank you! -Zack

Zack David’s “To: Mom” to be released on Mothers’ Day – May 12, 2019

After 4+ years of not officially releasing any music, I’m finally ready to release my latest album entitled “To: Mom” on Mothers’ Day as a tribute to my late mother and to all the hard-working mamas out there! Click here to pre-order (or order if reading this after May 12) or pre-save / check it out on Spotify:

I’ll also be selling good old CDs, if anyone still uses those. Let me know 🙂

You can get a sneak peak of a couple songs and also purchase/listen here:

This is my first official full-length solo album, not including some albums I released unofficially, when I was a wee little lad. This album features songs that I wrote as early as 2012, such as the title track, as well as songs that I’ve written during the recording process this year such as “Lost in the Day” and Trail Eyes” to name a couple. I almost forgot to mention that the track “Bats” dates back to circa 2007…my college years.

The album mixes traditional and modern folk techniques along with some interesting soundscapes including sound effects recorded naturally in Encinitas, CA during the recording process as you can hear on tracks such as “Trail Eyes” and “When the Winds Grow Wild,” which also includes sounds from Peru years ago.

I’m honored to have guest musicians performing on the album, as well. Ciera DeSilva performs violin on “Lost in the Day.” Alexandra “Xandra” Mason performs additional vocals on “Lost in the Day,” and “Open Road.” Martin Shaw performs violin on “Open Road,” and Colin Scharff performs trumpet on “Not Alone.”

Thank you sincerely for your support and for listening. I’m looking forward to your feedback and wishing all the mamas out there a Happy Mothers’ Day!
